We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Manager (Finance and Administration) to join our team in the Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE). The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for financial operations, administrative processes, and ensuring compliance with policies. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Finance Operations
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports to grantors.
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions in coordination with Duke-NUS Finance.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors during audits and financial reviews.
- Ensure timely processing of invoices and expense reimbursements.
- Collect, organise, and store financial records on electronic cloud platforms.
Fixed Asset Inventory Management:
- Maintain an accurate register of fixed assets, ensuring proper tagging and tracking.
- Conduct periodic asset audits and reconciliations to verify physical existence and valuation.
- Coordinate asset procurement, disposals, and transfers as per company policies.
Administrative Management:
- Assist in procurement of goods and services and ensure compliance with procurement guidelines.
- Coordinate with HR on onboarding processes for new hires within the Centre.
- Provide administrative support for Graduate Certificate courses and key events, including the Sir Alasdair Breckenridge Lecture and other major events.
- Coordinate flight and accommodation arrangements for overseas guests and speakers.
- Coordinate monthly team meetings logistics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in finance and administration roles.
- Preferably knowledge of SAP project and fund management systems.
- Competent in applying accounting concepts and understanding the associated tax implications e.g., GST and withholding tax.
- Have good analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Be meticulous and resourceful with positive work attitude.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Mature and possess good interpersonal skills.
