Job Description

The Talent Attraction and Partnering team in the Human Resources Department is looking for a driven and resourceful individual to partner and support the academic/administrative units in attracting, recruiting and retaining talented individuals. The roles and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: -

•    Partner the assigned academic/administrative units to understand their hiring and staffing needs, and provide support on HR-related matters.
•    Establish a close and trusted partnership with key stakeholders in the assigned academic/administrative units.
•    Responsible for the end-to-end talent acquisition and recruitment process which includes posting job advertisements, screening candidates, arranging and conducting interviews, doing reference checks, proposing salary and offering successful candidates.
•    Support to build a positive employer brand for Duke-NUS to gain recognition in the education and life sciences industries, leading to the School becoming an Employer of Choice.
•    Implement recruitment programmes to meet the strategic talent attraction plans.
•    Administer the end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition processes to maintain the staffing level of assigned academic/administrative units at a reasonable level to meet their business needs.
•    Ensure continuous improvement to enhance the recruitment and onboarding experience of both the Hiring Managers and New Hires.
•    Be familiar with the employment legislations and regulations that impact talent acquisition.
•    Provide professional advice on the interpretation of HR policies and employment legislations.
•    Perform any other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

•    Degree or equivalent in HR management or related fields.
•    Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience in recruitment and/or business partnering.
•    Prior work experience in an academic, research or healthcare setting would be advantageous.
•    Well-versed in local HR practices and employment-related legislation.
•    Demonstrated strong business acumen with the ability to strive and propose human resource strategies that support organisational objectives.
•    Possess good interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal), and relationship management skills to work effectively with people and stakeholders from diverse cultures and all levels across the School.
•    Have good negotiation and problem solving skills to implement pragmatic HR solutions.
•    Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
•    Proficient in general software applications that facilitate work operations such as Microsoft Office programmes.
