The Appointments and Development Department oversees academic recognition and development of faculty to enable integrated leadership within the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre, a partnership established to harness collective strengths of Duke-NUS’ medical education and research capabilities, and SingHealth’s clinical expertise.


The successful candidate will work under the leadership and supervision of the Deputy Director and will be responsible for administration, coordination and execution of various business-related functions of the Department. The scope of work includes, but is not limited, to the following

 

  • Monitor departmental budget and coordinate the annual budgeting exercise in alignment with institutional financial planning cycles.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of departmental AI and IT initiatives.
  • Assist in Appointments, Promotion and Tenure (APT) processes, which include evaluation of faculty’s academic contributions and coordination of review by the Academic Committees.
  • Assist in the preparation, review and submission of reports to the School’s committees, including APT, Academic and Research Committee, and the Governing Board.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Deputy Director to support departmental objectives and operations.

Job Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Commerce.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experienced in managing AI and IT based applications.
  • Knowledge in accessing digital library resources and classification of research journals preferred.
  • Prior working experience in human resources and/or business management in a tertiary academic and/or healthcare industry would be advantageous
  • Able to prioritise, multi-task, and manage concurrent projects efficiently in a dynamic work environment.
  • Meticulous, organised, and detail-oriented with strong project coordination abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to work well in teams.
  • An independent worker who is a team player and possesses the drive to complete tasks and projects assigned
