Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Administration, this position will be responsible for leading and delivering all significant events and initiatives helmed by the Office of Education, as well as overseeing organisational communications for students, faculty, staff and alumni.
Events Management
•    Lead and deliver all significant event project management initiatives for the Office, organising and managing the resources required to support key events and day-to-day operational needs.
•    Work with Heads of Departments and Functional Leads to ensure events, programmes and initiatives are accomplished in an effective and efficient manner while adhering to all legislative, policy and procedural guidelines.
•    Maintain and expand on collaborations with industry partners, such as SingHealth for joint strategic events and activities.
•    Plan and implement appropriate financial planning, budgeting, manpower planning, records and reports, as well as other administrative matters including reporting for Business Continuity Plans.
•    Monitor and track progress and timelines for concurrent events, projects and activities.
•    Work across functions with other Departments or Offices to ensure collaboration in fulfilling shared goals, such as the planning and execution of events for continued involvement of students, faculty, staff and alumni.
•    Oversee submission of reports for the Head of Department and other stakeholders. 
Organisational Communications
•    Develop and implement internal communication strategies that promote the Office’s culture, values and vision, ensuring timely and transparent communication across the Office.
•    Serve as a liaison between various departments/teams to draft and communicate important updates and initiatives, including the management of an events calendar and curating contents for webpages.
•    Assist with  managing internal stakeholder relationships to drive engagement and alignment with the organisation's strategic initiatives.
•    Liaise and work closely with the Communications & Strategic Relations Department on strategic communication initiatives related to the Office, and work collaboratively to ensure the School’s brand promise is being delivered and upheld.
Team Leadership and Management
•    Lead and coach junior staff in planning, coordinating and implementing  tasks and functions related to strategic events and organisational communications.
•    Responsible for job performance review and developing a performing team.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline.
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience with at least three years in an events/project management and leadership related role.
  • Proven ability in developing communication strategies and possesses excellent written communication skills, with experience in crafting internal messaging for a wide range of audiences.
  • Demonstrated finesse when partnering senior leadership and skilful in interacting with stakeholders at all levels within complex circumstances.
  • Competent in applying general personnel practices, accounting and budgeting principles and coordination of major administrative functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and communication tools.
