The Signature Research Programme in Health Services and Systems Research (HSSR) at Duke-NUS Medical School (Duke-NUS) in Singapore invites applications from outstanding candidates. Duke-NUS embodies a partnership between Duke University and National University of Singapore (NUS). It works closely with the Singapore Health Services (SingHealth) cluster, which is a network of national specialty disease centres, hospitals and polyclinics, to advance medicine and improve lives through cutting-edge research and education. The HSSR programme aims to advance the science in health services and systems research, and build capacity to conduct and use health services research. 

 

We invite applications for a tenure-track/tenured faculty position based in Singapore at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor. Job title, salaries and benefits will be commensurate with the candidate’s accomplishments and experiences.

 

We are seeking a researcher whose primary interest is Implementation Science. The ideal candidate will enjoy a multidisciplinary environment and will establish an innovative, pragmatic research agenda. The candidate will also build capacity by mentoring clinicians and other researchers and supporting relevant education activities. 

 

We are looking for an individual with expertise in social sciences who has developed robust scientific methods or tools for implementation science, and is able to publish research that moves the discipline forward. Opportunities exist for productive collaborations with world-class researchers within HSSR, and with SingHealth clinicians and other staff and other national health care organizations, as well as the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute. This tenure-track/tenured position represents an outstanding opportunity for an emerging or established investigator. 

 

Job Requirements

 

  • PhD or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Able to create a distinctive research programme and bring together and develop a team of researchers. 
  • Have proven record of applied research and methods-based publications.
  • Prior experience of independent research and collaboration with clinical and policy partners. 
  • Have track record in securing research grants. 
  • Possess leadership and mentoring skills or willingness to develop these. 
  • Able to work collaboratively and work with applied projects and methodology.
  • Have skills in communicating complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
