Job Description

The SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute (SDGHI) is an enabling platform for global health activities across the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC). The Institute aims to address current and emerging health challenges across Asia. Working in collaboration with partners, the Institute seeks to tackle prevalent health challenges, strengthen health systems and better insulate countries from pandemics and disease threats.

SDGHI is organised around five core programmes – Policy, Research, Education, Clinical, and Innovation – across which platforms are designed to advance health access, security, and equity in Asia.

The Education Associate provides crucial support to both the Clinical Core and the Centre for Global Nursing platform. This role is central to facilitating the operational and programmatic aspects of initiatives aimed at strengthening health systems.
This role encompasses both educational support as well as the need for administrative efficacy to deliver the planned programmes for SDGHI. Candidates should expect their contributions to be central to the operational support that underpins the success of these initiatives, rather than direct educational instruction.

The selected candidate will be responsible to:

  • Assist in the conceptual development, logistical planning and coordination support for the Clinical Core and Global Nursing, including workforce development and systems design, capacity and capability building, and research and innovation collaborations.
  • Plan, coordinate and administer programmes, including assisting with development of course curriculum, selection of learning materials, maintenance of course websites, liaison with speakers/lecturers and learners, and coordination of clinical attachments/immersion
  • Provide logistical support for educational programmes, meetings and program planning, including scheduling across different time zones, venue set-up, preparation of meeting materials, collating of  information across settings, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Develop and support a wide range of programmes related to the Clinical Core and Global Nursing to build capacity and capability for partnering countries.
  • Assist with regular evaluation of programmes and courses that includes quarterly reports, improvement strategies and impact measurement.
  • Assist in budget tracking and management, helping to ensure financial resources are appropriately allocated and reported.
  • Support strategic communications by coordinating stakeholder updates and facilitating joint initiatives within and outside of the AMC.
  • Provide support to SDGHI-related activities as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public or Global Health, Education, or other related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within an academic or health system setting.
  • Posses strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a diverse, multicultural team.
  • Proficient in office software and digital communication tools.
