Job Description

Responsible for supporting the Associate Dean of  Student Affairs and the team in achieving the department’s goals and objectives through  a variety of business functions including but not limited to the following:

  • Work with the Student Affairs team and Student Council to support all student-initiated Student Interest Groups (SIGs). This includes working with the students to plan, execute events/projects, and allocate/manage budgets, as well as ensure all student-led activities are executed safely and effectively and in strict adherence to their allocated budget.
  • Support the career/residency planning track for MD students through coordinating the Individual Development Plan (IDP) across the four MD phases.
  • Support the team through working with student college representatives and College Masters to administer the Duke-NUS Letters of Reference (LOR) for the graduating cohort.
  • Support the Associate Dean of Student Affairs to uplift student esprit de corps and school-student trust and collaboration.
  • Provide administrative, creative, and manpower support for all office and/or department-led events and activities, and other day-to-day operations of the department. 
  • Manage the merchandise sales for the school.
  • Provide IT support to the department via printer management, procurement of laptops and other digital equipments, cameras, etc.
  • Perform urgent and ad-hoc tasks, and other related duties incidental to the work or as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Work closely with all Academic & Non-Academic SIGs

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline with minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Entry-level candidates  or Diploma holders with at least 5 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Prior work experience in an academic environment would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in youth development, project management, events organisation, training/group presentation and community service-learning engagements.
  • Meticulous and well-organised with the ability to manage multitude responsibilities.
  • Possess excellent command of English with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic survey instruments.
