Job Description

Provide general administration support, coordination and execution of a variety of business functions including but not limited to the following: - 

  • Provide administrative support to Principal Investigators within the Signature Research Programme in Cancer & Stem Cell Biology (CSCB).
  • Execute finance, budget, manpower, grant administration and policy interpretation to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Review, enhance and streamline work processes for value-add impacts and outcomes.
  • Compile data, claims and reports in a timely manner with analytical inputs.
  • Maintain department records and serve as a liaison for day-to-day operational matters.
  • Draft white paper/ approval papers for the programme and circulate for approvals.  
  • Organise and facilitate ongoing programmes and events for Principal Investigators/ graduate students.
  • Facilitate local and overseas logistics for meetings & events.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein or as assigned by the reporting officers.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in a related discipline with minimum 2 years of relevant administrative experience. Candidates with higher credentials may be considered for the Senior Executive appointment. 
  • Prior work experience in a research or academic setting would be advantageous.
  • Able to take initiative, is self-driven, and possesses excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Possess good organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous, well-organised and able to multi-task. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
