Duke-NUS Medical School, a strategic collaboration between Duke University (USA) and the National University of Singapore, is celebrating 20 years of advancing medical education and translational biomedical research. The School's Office of Research plays a critical role in shaping and supporting research strategy, planning, and coordination to drive impactful science that improves health outcomes in Singapore and globally.


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in supporting the planning and execution of strategic research initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, analytical, and passionate about contributing to research excellence within an academic medical setting.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide administrative and coordination support for strategic planning initiatives, events and research-related projects across the school’s Signature Research Programmes and Centres.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support data collection, research and analysis for planning and decision-making.
  • Help coordinate meetings, workshops and consultations related to strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain tracking systems and documentation related to planning and implementation timelines, deliverables and outcomes.
  • Liaise with various offices and departments to facilitate smooth implementation of strategic plans.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Life Sciences, Business Administration, Public Policy or Healthcare).
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a research, academic or healthcare-related setting. Entry-level candidates with demonstrated experience in planning initiatives, events, or research-related projects are also welcome to apply.
  • Possess strong organisational skills and attention to details.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Teams); experience with data analysis tools and productivity tools is an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
