Research Assistant (Senior) (CQM/LN)

Job Description

Perform a variety of research activities which include planning, organizing, and conducting research studiesunder the supervision of the Principal Investigator (http://www.digitalmedicinelab.org/):

• Apply statistics and machine learning techniques to analyse various types of clinical data such as large-scale electronic health records, biosignal data, and/or medical images.
• Conceptualise new ideas and develop plans for independent research which could have a considerableinfluence and impact in medical informatics and health data science.
• Write high-quality technical/methodological research papers, present research outcomes and developconnections with local and international researchers for collaboration work.
• Perform other academic duties as required by the Principal Investigator.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor or master’s degree in computing / biostatistics / epidemiology / engineering with goodmathematical knowledge and some research experience in machine learning and statistics.
• Possess good programming skills in R or Python.
• Have interests in applying statistics and machine learning to solve real-world medical problems.
• Willing to conduct independent research as well as support team research activities.
• A strong team player skills and the ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce.
