Job Description
The Singapore Research Programme in Health Services and Systems Research (HSSR) in Duke-NUS Medical School is a centre of academic excellence for research and education on the organisation, funding and delivery of health services. The programme’s focus is on public health and clinical service innovation in an increasingly complex and connected world. The major research focus of HSSR is the organisation and delivery of health and social services in the context of an ageing population. The research methods include decision science and simulation modelling, survey research, qualitative research, health economics, and implementation science and evaluation. We are also developing a range of education activities for health care professionals including, short courses, graduate certificates, Masters course and PhD programmes.
A Research Assistant/ Research Assistant (Senior) position is currently available, and the successful candidate will be expected to perform a variety of research activities which include but not limited to the following: -
- Work with clinical/research teams to conduct data collection, data analysis and manuscript writing.
- Support research activities relevant to the scope of the Programme.
- Be responsible for project management.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein or as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, or a topic relevant to health services research.
- Possess knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
- Prior experience in qualitative (e.g., NVivo) and/or quantitative (e.g., SPSS, R) data analysis would be advantageous.
- Possess strong writing and critical thinking skills.
- Possess good communication and presentation skills.
- Willing to learn grant and manuscript writing.
- A team player who is highly motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse workforce.
