Job Description
This position supports the research initiatives of the Centre in regulatory system strengthening and regulatory capacity building, as well as contribute to the growth of the Centre in enhancing capabilities of the regulatory professionals for the region, through education, research, and innovation in regulatory science.
- Propose and design suitable studies to identify the gaps, challenges and opportunities of the the regional regulatory landscape of Asia Pacific, particulary targetted at low-resourced countries
- Independently conduct and analyse the studies, and provide recommendations for implementaion roadmap in the context of the identified needs and political environment of the stakeholders/countries.
- Contribute and identify future research topics for consideration.
- Contribute to the publication/presentation of research outcomes and recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Centre’s education initiatives to address the objectives of regulatory capacity building.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree / PhD in Biomedical Sciences or Public Health will be preferred, Social Sciences will be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the design, conduct and analysis of healthcare studies, or analysis of healthcare policies (including needs assessment/ market analysis/ landscape analysis).
- Have track record of publications and/or presentations, as well as in dealing with the healthcare policies of the Asia Pacific
- Prior experience in regulatory affairs will be an added advantage.
- Proficient in designing and conducting qualitative studies.
- Familiarity of the frameworks employed for such studies, as well as international references pertaining to healthcare and regulatory issues e.g. WHO Global Benchmarking Tool.
- Proficient in research skills including data management and analysis.
- Able to effectively articulate study outcomes and recommendations.
- Have Understanding of regulatory affairs for therapeutic products including medical devices
