Job Description
This position will co-ordinate research activities for key faculty in the Centre for Quantitative Medicine (CQM) and the Signature Research Programme in Health Services & Systems Research (HSSR). These faculty are all public health researchers with skills in quantitative methods, programme evaluation, epidemiology, health economics and implementation science and have been brought together into a newly created "Public Health Research and Outcomes Group (PHROG)".
We seek an experienced and motivated individual to perform a variety of functions, including but not limited to the following:-
- Summarise and catalogue current faculty research and evaluation projects and oversee the creation of a useful database of projects.
- Create brand awareness for this group by using social media, web pages and traditional approaches for publicising academic work.
- Manage the day to day activities of the existing projects including IRB applications, contracts, KPI’s and deliverables.
- Filter and allocate new enquiries to appropriate members of the research team members, and assist with any administrative functions for project startup.
- Track the revenue and expenditure and manage budgets from existing and new projects.
- Create project timelines and assist PHROG leadership to keep all projects on schedule.
- Maintain professional relationships with a range of health services and academic stakeholders/partners
- Act as a secretariat for research meetings, such as team meetings for PHROG and other meetings with stakeholders
- Support the work on the Director and Co-Director for PHROG and Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Job Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience with some supervisory role.
- Prior work experience in the healthcare or education industry would be advantageous.
- Possess knowledge of university research environments and/or knowledge of health services administration.
- Possess good awareness of the research environment and national funding schemes.
- Well organised and able to multi-task.
- Have good interpersonal skills and is able to work well in teams.
- Have strong writing and presentation skills.
- Passionate to contribute and develop a career in the healthcare and health services domains.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
