Research Fellow (HSSR/CC)

Job Description

• Manage data sets in cancer immunology and stem cell biology, infectious diseases and vaccine development, and cellular senescence (ageing) studies.
• Develop analysis plans for these data sets in collaboration with biomedical and quantitative researchers.
• Implement reproducible computational and machine learning scripts to execute these data analysis plans.
• Develop creative scientific visualisations to help interpret and provide insight into complex, high-dimensional data sets.
• Support in workshops to teach skills in cellular data science to researchers.
• Write high-quality technical/methodological research papers, present research outcomes and develop connections with local and international researchers for collaboration work.
• Perform other academic duties as required by the Principal Investigator.

Job Requirements

• PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or Physics, or PhD in a biomedical discipline such as Virology, Immunology, Cancer Biology or other related disciplines. 
• Prior research experience in data science, machine learning or computational biology.
• Possess excellent programming skills in Python and R.
• Have curiosity about and willingness to learn quantitative and biomedical science.
• Willing to conduct independent research as well as support team research activities.
• Possess strong team player skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a diverse environment.
