Job Description

The SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute (“SDGHI”) is an enabling platform for global health activities across the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (“AMC”). The Institute aims to address current and emerging health challenges across ASEAN member states and in other Asian countries. Working in collaboration with partners, SDGHI seeks to tackle prevalent health challenges, strengthen health systems and better insulate countries from pandemics and disease threats.

We are recruiting a Senior Executive to support the Lead of the Chinese Executive Programmes for the Asian Institute for Healthcare Leadership & Management (Asian HEAL).

The selected candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with respective programme leads at both Duke-NUS Medical School and SingHealth, and with key internal and external stakeholders both locally and regionally. The incumbent should ideally be comfortable working in a matrixed team and be ready to work in a fast-moving, fast-changing and dynamic environment. The responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Ascertain and understand training needs of clients.
  • Liaise with clients on all aspects pertaining to the Executive Programme.
  • Assist in preparing course proposals, course schedules and course budgets.
  • Ensure compliance to financial, legal and procurement policies of both Duke-NUS and SingHealth.
  • Provide logistics and administrative support in the planning, organising and delivery of Executive Programmes under Asian HEAL, which include coordinating with various teams within SDGHI and SingHealth.
  • Coordinate course timetables and training materials with faculty.
  • Collect healthcare industry information in China.
  • Monitor and track student progress, which include managing the Learning Management System, course assessments and gradings (where required).
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work therein or as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Science, Social Sciences or other related disciplines. 
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably in academia.
  • Relevant experience communicating and liaising with clients from China
  • Competent in written and spoken Mandarin, preferably with familiarity with healthcare and management related terminologies
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and work with stakeholders such as senior-level executives, faculty and team members across various functions and levels in the organisation.
  • Have excellent attention to details with strong organisation and project management capabilities.
  • A resourceful team player who is able to work independently in a fast-paced multidisciplinary setting.
  • Willing to travel within the region frequently.
