Job Description
This temporary position is available from April 2023 onwards, and may be renewable to a long-term contract subject to the department's needs and the staff's performance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for grant and legal contract management, general administration, coordination and execution of a variety of business functions in the Centre for Quantitative Medicine, Duke-NUS Medical School. The duties will include but not limited to the following:
- Manage research grant applications, post-grant awards and grant variations.
- Liaise with external partners and internal departments for review of research and service agreements.
- Determine fiscal requirements and perform cash flow projections.
- Monitor, verify and reconcile expenditure of the Centre.
- Review, negotiate and execute legal contracts and subcontracts in collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Serve as the liaison with administrative and professional personnel concerning school policies and procedures, personnel administration, and budgetary preparation and control.
- Organise events such as symposiums, staff retreat, seminars, workshops, etc.
- Track KPIs for reporting purpose.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, Business or other related disciplines.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, prior experience in an academic or healthcare setting will be advantageous.
- Possess good business writing skills.
- Able to prioritise and multi-task.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and well in teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
