Job Description

 

This temporary position is available from April 2023 onwards, and may be renewable to a long-term contract subject to the department's needs and the staff's performance. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for grant and legal contract management, general administration, coordination and execution of a variety of business functions in the Centre for Quantitative Medicine, Duke-NUS Medical School. The duties will include but not limited to the following:

 

  • Manage research grant applications, post-grant awards and grant variations.
  • Liaise with external partners and internal departments for review of research and service agreements.
  • Determine fiscal requirements and perform cash flow projections.
  • Monitor, verify and reconcile expenditure of the Centre.
  • Review, negotiate and execute legal contracts and subcontracts in collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Serve as the liaison with administrative and professional personnel concerning school policies and procedures, personnel administration, and budgetary preparation and control.
  • Organise events such as symposiums, staff retreat, seminars, workshops, etc.   
  • Track KPIs for reporting purpose.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. 

Job Requirements

 

  • Degree in Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, Business or other related disciplines.  
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, prior experience in an academic or healthcare setting will be advantageous.
  • Possess good business writing skills.
  • Able to prioritise and multi-task.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and well in teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
