Job Description

The SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute (SDGHI) is an enabling platform for global health activities across the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC). The Institute aims to address current and emerging health challenges across ASEAN member states and in other Asian countries. Working in collaboration with partners, SDGHI seeks to tackle prevalent health challenges, strengthen health systems and better insulate countries from pandemics and disease threats.

 

The Duke-NUS Centre for Outbreak Preparedness (“COP”) was established to advance and enhance regional health security across Asia. COP hosts the secretariat for the Asia Pathogen Genomics Initiative (“Asia PGI”) which acts as a regional coordination and capacity development platform supporting 14 countries across South and Southeast Asia. Asia PGI aims to accelerate the application of pathogen genomic sequencing to enhance outbreak preparedness and response capacity across this region. Its main workstreams support efforts in early detection through training in laboratory genomics and bioinformatics via the Asia PGI Academy at Duke-NUS, the development of novel outbreak response tools including diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines, health system enhancement through effective policy and planning for diseases surveillance and response systems that include genomics, and addressing key enabling environment factors including legal, regulatory and supply chain issues

We are recruiting a Senior Executive to support with the research, communications and marketing content for SDGHI’s education programmes, and the programmes of COP and the Asia PGI Academy.

The selected candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the SDGHI Communications Lead, the Communications teams from SingHealth and Duke-NUS Medical School, and key internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent will primarily be responsible for supporting on content creation, social media marketing, and publicity matters for our courses. The responsibilities may include:

  • Highlight and promote our courses and training through various channels and platforms both internally and publicly such as on newsletters, annual reports, websites and LinkedIn 
  • Create and maintain a photo/video bank for publicity purposes This will include but not limited to trainings in priority locations
  • Manage the pipeline of content for the SDGHI and COP website
  • Assist with production and management of SDGHI and COP digital and print assets, such as brochures, posters, LinkedIn content (organic and paid) and other publicity materials as required 
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein or as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, social sciences or related disciplines. 
  • Minimum 2 years in a marketing role, including digital marketing (LinkedIn campaigns and SEO)
  • Possess a solid command of English with an ability to communicate effectively in writing
  • Have strong analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • Resourceful, creative and excellent in planning, organising and managing time
  • Highly motivated individual who is able to work independently in a multidisciplinary setting 
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and work with stakeholders and team members across various functions and levels in the organisation 
  • Proficient in general software applications that facilitate work operations such as Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Photoshop/graphic design software would be desirable
  • Knowledge/interest in global health issues would be an advantage
