Job Description

The SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute (SDGHI) is an enabling platform for global health activities across the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC). The institute aims to address current and emerging health challenges across ASEAN member states and in other Asian countries. Working in collaboration with partners, the institute seeks to tackle prevalent health challenges, strengthen health systems and better insulate countries from pandemics and disease threats.

The Asian Centre of Excellence for Healthcare Management and Leadership (ACOE) is one of the key platforms of SDGHI that aims to coalesce the knowledge, experience and research from the SingHealth Duke-NUS AMC in healthcare management. It also aims to bring together healthcare leaders from exemplary healthcare systems to not only share good practices across the region, but to also share Asian-centric solutions developed by Asian healthcare practitioners to address healthcare challenges faced by the region.

We are recruiting an Education Associate to support our work at the ACOE, specifically in developing cases that will be used in the programmes that will be developed to support the training needs of the region.   

The selected candidate will support primarily the work required at the ACOE, and the Education in Global Health core of SDGHI. The work will include:
•    Independently interviewing senior executives, research primary and secondary sources for the cases
•    Advising and guiding faculty on the case writing structure and approach  
•    Working with faculty to produce content and write the case studies  
•    Assisting to edit the case studies based on input from the faculty, and produce finished cases ready for use as teaching materials and publication
•    Developing accompanying teaching notes for the finished cases
•    Updating the cases and teaching notes to enhance or supplement the training materials
•    Identifying opportunities for new case study development which potentially may be used as training materials 
 

Qualifications

•    Minimum Master’s Degree with at least 6 years’ relevant working experience
•    Experience working with healthcare industry will be advantageous 
•    Solid work background, preferably in consulting, market intelligence, economics or other research discipline
•    Good understanding of industry and management issues
•    Excellent writing skills
•    Excellent business-level English fluency
•    Strong communication and presentation skills a must
•    Research, analysis and strategy consulting on healthcare management, managerial, international business, economic, political and other related business issues
•    Experience dealing with and presenting to senior-level executives
•    Comfortable, confident and articulate with faculty and senior-level leadership in the healthcare community and elsewhere
•    Excellent organisational skills
•    Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
