Job Description

The successful candidate will form part of a core team in Academic Programme Support and Evaluation to manage grants and initiatives for Academic Medicine (AM) initiatives across the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre.


  • Work closely with key stakeholders including senior management, different Academic Clinical Programmes (ACPs), clinician leaders, ACP faculty and drivers in Education, Research, Innovation, Global Health and other departments across both organisations.
  • Understand policy and processes as well as people management skills to work closely across stakeholder groups to facilitate initiatives. 
  • Cultivate a strong working relationship with the various ACPs and institutes to coordinate planning, preparation, review and approval of AM proposals, funding requests and grants. 
  • Oversee and coordinate the Grant Calls, engaging PIs for proposal presentations to review panel, monitoring progress and supporting the awardees through their journey towards successful pursuit of becoming Clinician Researchers and garnering national/external grants.
  • Ensure strong financial stewardship and good corporate governance by being adept with Duke-NUS’ and NUS’ policies on donations, disbursements and grants; 
  • Ensure rigorous and timely grant review, monitoring of progress and outcomes reporting, financial reporting and proper stewardship of AM resources.
  • Prepare ACP Programme Reports on successful award, utilisation and analyse grant data to facilitate leadership decision-making.

Job Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent with minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in managing grants/funds, research projects and/or faculty matters.
  • Have strong track record of stakeholder management and drive multi-faceted projects with good outcomes.
  • Possess good organisational skills and abilities to carry out analytical and coordination work.
  • An energetic, self-driven, highly emotional and adversity quotient individual who is meticulous and able to multi-task.
  • An independent worker who is also a team player and strong collaborator who possess the initiative to complete tasks and projects assigned. 
  • Possess excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in general software applications such as Microsoft Office and SAP that facilitate work operation
