Job Description


Provide administrative and operation support to the Central Procurement unit for a variety of business functions including but not limited to the following: -


  • Ensure smooth operation of the Research Supply Store.
  • Responsible for inventory management, fulfilling supply store orders and receiving deliveries, storage in correct temperature and issuance of orders.
  • Perform billing for all fulfilled supply store orders.
  • Liaise with vendors, researchers and finance department relating to supply store inventories and billing matters.
  • Procure supply store inventories and services in accordance to procurement policies and safety guidelines.
    • Liaise with requestors, vendors and finance department on billing/payment matters.
    • Ensure all invoices and documentations are submitted in order so as to provide efficient payment to suppliers and vendors.
    • Handle all Statement of Account matters with vendors
  • Streamline overall procurement system, processes and controls to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-team projects.
  • Perform other duties incidental to the work described therein or as assigned by the supervisor. 

Job Requirements


  • Diploma or equivalent in a related discipline.
  • Prior Work experience in a research or academic environment would be advantageous.
  • Meticulous, well-organised and able to multi-task. 
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and able to work well in teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Heavy lifting is required for packing of orders.
