Management Assistant Officer (CoRE/MAO)

Job Description

Perform a variety of business related functions to the Centre of Regulatory’s (“CoRE”) delivery of its intended objectives and outcomes.

  • Provide administrative support to the delivery of operations in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage a variety of work streams related to events management, particularly when face-to-face events resume. This would include but not limited to drafting invitation letters, collating responses, events preparation and act as primary point of contact.
  • Liaise with colleagues within CoRE and across the School on operational matters and services such as procurement and finance matters. This will include but not limited to processing staff claims/reimbursements, raising purchase orders and ensuring invoices/payments are done in a timely manner.
  • Perform annual asset verification and keep track of CoRE’s asset management.
  • Work with the Human Resources Department on staff-related matters such as appointments/re-appointment matters and ordering of name cards.
  • Carry out general administrative duties such as updating of SOPs and arranging internal CoRE staff events.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager.  

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent in a related discipline with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Entry level candidates or candidates with other qualifications with at least 8 years of relevant work experience may also be considered.
  • Prior work experience in a research or academic environment would be advantageous.
  • Meticulous, well-organised and have good time management to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to communicate clearly, a strong team player and able to work effectively in a diverse work environment.
  • Proficient in general software applications that facilitate work operations such as Microsoft Office programmes.
