Job Description

Responsible for general administration, coordination and execution of a variety of business functions related to Digital Learning Centre (DLC) support and training for faculty, students and administrative staff, including but not limited to the following: - 

•    Plan and execute the Department’s and DLC’s initiatives/projects.
•    Evaluate potential of existing/new systems by studying user objectives and testing functionality.
•    Take ownership of user issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution.
•    Research questions, troubleshoot problems and guide users through corrective steps.
•    Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams and/or vendors.
•    Prepare reference material for users, producing operating instructions in various media (text, diagrams, videos, etc.).
•    Organise and conduct regular and ad-hoc training sessions for faculty, students and staff on features and functions of the various systems supported by the DLC.
•    Keep abreast of developments in the digital learning field, making recommendations that promote continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and assessment.
•    Review, enhance and streamline work processes for value-add impacts and outcomes.
•    Support other projects and duties as required to fulfil the School’s needs.
•    Perform other related duties incidental to the work as assigned by the Head of Department or DLC Lead.

Qualifications

•    Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
•    Prior work experience in a research/academic environment would be advantageous.
•    Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with a learning management system, providing support and training to a range of users, including faculty members, students and staff.
•    Have strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, as well as excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
•    Possess good interpersonal, communications and customer service skills with the ability to work well in teams and have supervisory capabilities.
•    Have a conceptual understanding of medical education and its unique curriculum and assessment requirements.
