Part-time Tutor I (Communications and New Media)

Job Description

The Department of Communications and New Media at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is excited to announce openings for Part-Time Tutors (Communications and New Media) to instruct in the following courses:

1. NM2207 Computational Media Literacy (Proficiency in JavaScript / R programming required)

2. GET1008 Public Speaking and Critical Reasoning

3. NM3217 Principles of Visual Communication Design (Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite required)

4. NM2103 Quantitative Research Methods (Proficiency in SPSS / R programming required)

5. NM3243 User Experience Design

And other courses under the undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes. 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the relevant subject area. Candidates with practical experience and industry knowledge in related sectors will also be considered. Preference will be given to those with teaching or industry experience, which is viewed as advantageous.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include conducting tutorials as a course tutor, providing student consultations, grading assessments, and fulfilling other course-related duties as required.
