Senior Executive / Assistant Manager / Manager (Communications & Marketing)

24 months at the first instance, with a possibility of renewal

To lead the communications and marketing portfolio at the Department of Communications and New Media

Responsibilities

We are looking for a communication professional to build and shape the Department of Communications and New Media’s digital media platforms, including the department’s website, social media, as well as to shape and brand CNM and establish thought leadership. 

 

•    Be the custodian of NUS CNM’s website and social media channels and position CNM as Asia’s leading centre of communication and new media. 
•    Build and shape CNM’s brand across its digital media platforms to achieve the department’s digital platforms (including website and social media), increase stakeholder engagement, as well as track, measure and analyse effectiveness of communication efforts.
•    Provide editorial support, content planning, curation and development, copyediting, and project management in the development of new publications and content. 
•    Identify, develop, produce and adapt compelling content for various platforms.
•    Provide communications support on special projects/initiatives.
•    Conceptualise and implement integrated communications, marketing, publicity, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
•    Manage communications and social media assets, including the planning, production and curation of platform-appropriate content, community management, and website updates.
•    Provide support in overseeing the outreach and publicity programmes, promoting programmes to industry, alumni, schools locally and overseas, etc.  
•    Support the Department’s administrative matters and other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies/ Marketing or equivalent, with experience in Communications, visual production and marketing;
•    Excellent command of English communication skills, both spoken and written;
•    Excellent copywriting/editing skills, and the ability to adapt writing for different audiences and media;
•    Design-savvy, meticulous and detailed-oriented;
•    Proficient in various social media tools and platforms, experience in supporting online marketing/communication engagement campaigns.
•    Proficient in Microsoft software;
•    An ability to multi-task and possess strong ownership of tasks assigned
•    Strong organisational skills and positive problem-solving attitude
•    Possess initiative and receptiveness to feedback and suggestions on designs, and marketing content, with interpersonal skills to deal with people from different corporate levels.
