Job Description
The Department of Social Work established the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) unit to empower social workers and other helping professionals in gaining the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours required at different stages of their careers. This will enable them to advance their careers with competence and confidence, while staying relevant to the increasingly complex social landscape so as to best serve the needs of their clients.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the management, administration and operations of our Continuing Professional Education (CPE) programmes for social workers, social service practitioners and other helping professionals
· Project manage and support the administration of CPE programmes (e.g. short courses, professional certificates, graduate certificates etc) and seminars for adult learners working in the helping profession. This includes, and is not limited to, programme preparation, learners’ liaison and registration, update of learner records and database management, assessment processing, quality assurance and audit management.
· Manage finance and procurement administration related to the running of CPE programmes, such as overseeing learners’ settlements, vendor payment and procurement of goods & services.
· Use of various IT systems to execute and streamline processes, such as course administration, finance, procurement.
· Respond to enquiry emails and/or calls from internal departments, external stakeholders and adult learners.
· Work collaboratively with key stakeholder groups (internal and external partners) to ensure the smooth delivery of programmes.
· Contribute to other projects and/or duties in the Department.
Qualifications
· Recognised degree in any discipline (Social Science or Business preferred but not required).
· Prior work experience in Continuing Education and Training (CET) work environment will be advantageous.
· IT-savvy as interaction with various IT systems is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
· Customer service-oriented with strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
· Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle diverse stakeholders.
· Team player who keeps the team’s goals in view.
· Ability to adapt to change with a positive attitude towards approaching work challenges.
