Job Description

We invite applicants for full time Teaching Assistant position in the Department of Political Science. This would be for one-year contract period with a salary that commensurate with qualifications and experience. The full time TA would be teaching in the following areas:

• Political Science
• Global Studies

Responsibilities: Successful candidate will carry out the following duties

• Attend lectures for those courses he/she is teaching
• Conduct tutorial section
• Mark CA and exam scripts
• Provide students’ consultation to clarify doubts on the courses
• Assist in examination matters (e.g. invigilation duties)
• Key in of course marks online
• Any other work related and admin responsibilities as required by the department

Qualifications

Qualifications: Successful candidates must have at least a good undergraduate Honours degree in Social Science (e.g. Political Science) or equivalent. Prior teaching experience preferred but not essential. Good interpersonal skills and collegiality. Good spoken and written communication skills.
