Job Description

The Department of History at the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for a Visiting Associate Professor in the History of Science and Technology to commence in late July-August 2024. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in History, with a focus on the History of Science and Technology. They should also demonstrate experience in research and teaching in the History of Science and Technology.

 

According to the QS Rankings 2024, the Department of History is ranked 11th among university history departments worldwide, and 1st in Asia. It is one of fifteen Departments, a Program, and a Language Centre within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and Southeast Asia and East Asia are areas of special strength for the Department, which consists of more than thirty faculty members with research interests in various aspects of Asian, American, and European history, as well as business, environmental, international, legal, maritime, and military history, and science and technology studies.

 

Application dossiers should include a complete list of publications, research interests, and teaching experience, as well as any other relevant information. Review of applications will begin on 2 May 2024. The search will continue until an appointment is made.
