Job Description

As the Head of Programme Management for the EMBA (English) programmes, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of global business leadership through our prestigious Executive MBA programmes—the NUS EMBA (English) and the UCLA-NUS EMBA. Your mission is to craft and cultivate a world-class educational journey that not only fosters the transformative growth of around 100 Senior Executives annually but also sets a new standard for executive education.

 

The primary purpose of the role is to provide oversight, delivery and programmatic leadership to ensure operational efficiency and academic rigour. You will lead a team of 4 Managers/Executives and collaborate closely with esteemed internal stakeholders and forge strategic partnerships with external vendors, all united in the goal of providing an exceptional and transformational learning environment.

Programme Management

  • Together with the Academic Director, Director and Deputy Director, review and develop curriculum content so that it has a profound impact on the students, ensuring that the programme is innovative and remains relevant to the needs of the markets
  • Regularly monitor students’ levels of satisfaction with every aspect of their experience at the School to ensure continuous improvement and innovation in order to develop and implement opportunities to enhance student experience
  • Oversee scheduling and planning of the NUS EMBA and UCLA NUS EMBA programmes
  • Oversee the planning, coordination and smooth execution of overseas study segments and immersion programmes
  • Lead the team to ensure a seamless programme delivery in the local as well as international segments, and in the case of UCLA-NUS EMBA, to work closely with UCLA Anderson in delivering a high-quality programme experience
  • Encourage faculty involvement in all aspects of the programme to continually provide highquality of teaching, including the delivery of blended learning
  • Oversee the timely and accurate grade submissions and monitoring of student progress during the programme
  • Effective coordination with internal stakeholders whose contributions are essential to the delivery of the programme, including alumni, alumni office, careers service office, corporate communications, marketing & admissions team, department heads and administrators, etc.

Strategy and Planning

  • Contribute to the development of strategies to enhance the programmes’ value propositions, and continuous improvement in the students’ experience
  • Develop and lead the implementation of plans to support the achievement of wider team and organisational goals
  • Lead the development of Key Performance Indicators to enable the assessment of the quality and impact of learning interventions

Design and Delivery

  • Keep up-to-date with thought leadership and innovation within the field ensuring the incorporation of leading thinking and technologies into plans and learning design
  • Identify, design and oversee the delivery of new programmes, courses, content and/or systems, ensuring the integration of the most effective learning technologies, activities, and teaching methods to maximise students’ learning in alignment with strategic aims, impact objectives and students’ needs
  • Lead broader planning and oversight of operational programme management to achieve highimpact outcomes for the programme
  • Accountable for compliance with all relevant procedures/regulations/quality assurance

Collaboration and Relationship Management

  • Collaborate with faculty, colleagues and other relevant stakeholders to identify crossdepartment opportunities and ensure that learning experiences are inspirational, innovative, impactful
  • Develop and work with programme/university partners to bring about global learning opportunities for the programmes
  • Accountable for relationship management, commercial arrangements and quality assurance of external suppliers/vendors

Financial Management

  • Responsible for setting and monitoring against the programme budget
  • Ensure the cost efficiency of expenses

People Management

  • Lead, develop and manage a high-performing team

Change Management

  • Champion change by role modelling the behaviour expected from all colleagues, develop and communicate plans to ensure change is successfully implemented within own division/team

Recruitment and Admissions

  • Support the Marketing & Admissions team to achieve our qualitative and quantitative intake targets and develop the brand and reputation of our programmes
  • Understand the competitive marketplace, anticipate changes, opportunities and/or threats, and review and recommend changes to the programme in response to market demands
  • Participate in the admissions process as required

Rankings Management

  • Contribute to the ranking exercises through programme data submission, alumni engagement and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Degree, preferably an MBA (but not required)
  • First-class understanding of business education
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent project management, multitasking, financial and people management skills
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to order and readiness constantly to re-order priorities
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and in writing
  • Good influencing and persuading skills
