Job Description
The National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for a 2-year research assistant position in the Department of Management and Organization and NUS Care Unit. We are seeking individuals who have strong organizational skills and the interest and commitment to conduct excellent scholarly research in the areas of Organizational Behavior/Applied Psychology. We are particularly interested in candidates with research interests in the broad areas of interpersonal relations, dysfunctional workplace behaviors (such as incivility, harassment), and diversity and inclusion in organizations. Candidates with related research interests are also welcome to apply.
The research assistant will focus primarily on supporting a funded research project on the integration of persons with disabilities into the workplace and assist in conducting high-quality research for publication in top management and psychology journals. The research assistant will work closely with Associate Professor Sandy Lim and her research team. This position is intended to allow promising young scholars to sharpen their research skills and gain research experience.
The research assistant is expected to be physically based in Singapore for the duration of the contract. There are no teaching obligations tied to this role.

Job Description
- Conduct literature review
- Plan, manage and execute data collection in accordance with NUS research policies and guidelines
- Supervise student assistants in research-related activities (e.g. literature review, data collection)
- Manage datasets and maintain data integrity
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative data
- Prepare research papers for submission to conferences and academic journals
- Prepare research reports for submission to funder and/or relevant stakeholders
- Assist in the design and conduct of other research projects that utilize different methodologies (e.g., surveys, experiments, interviews)
- Miscellaneous research activities (as and when required)
Requirements
Education and Research Experience
- Minimum Bachelors (with Honours) in psychology, management, organizational behavior, social work, political science or a related field
- Applicants who are in the process of completing their degree should have completed their degree requirements before they begin work
- Excellent English writing and communication skills
- Experience in conducting qualitative interviews, transcribing, data coding and analysis (e.g. using Excel or qualitative data analysis software such as Atlas.ti, nVivo, etc.) and/or willingness to learn and master new data analysis skills independently
- Experience in conducting management / psychological research (ideal but optional)
- Experience in publishing in peer-reviewed international journals (ideal but optional)
