The Visiting Associate Professor role is a prestigious, short-term appointment designed to foster intellectual exchange and international research synergy. We seek established scholars to share their expertise, mentor faculty through collaborative dialogue, and contribute to the research excellence of the NUS Business School.

Responsibilities

The successful appointee will follow a specialized work plan aimed at deepening institutional ties and advancing scholarly inquiry. Key responsibilities include:

•    Faculty Engagement & Research Consultation: Meeting with resident faculty members to discuss ongoing research projects, provide peer feedback, and explore emerging trends within the field.
•    Strategic Collaboration: Identifying and developing potential research collaborations, joint publication opportunities, or shared grant applications between the visitor’s home institution and the NUS Business School.
•    Knowledge Transfer (Departmental Seminar): Conducting a formal seminar or research presentation to share current findings, methodology, and specialized knowledge with faculty, researchers, and graduate students.
•    Scholarly Exchange: Participating in the School’s intellectual life, including informal brainstorming sessions and contributing to a globalized academic perspective.

Requirements

•    Academic Standing: Currently holds the rank of Associate Professor (or equivalent) at a recognized global institution.
•    Research Excellence: A proven track record of high-impact publications in top-tier business journals and a clearly defined research agenda.
•    Collaborative Mindset: Strong interpersonal skills with a keen interest in fostering long-term academic partnerships with NUS faculty.
