Job Description

Marketing Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote research initiatives and events.
  • Work with vendors to create compelling marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, e-newsletters and digital content, to attract and engage target audiences.
  • Utilize various marketing channels, including social media, email campaigns, and website content, to maximize event exposure and registration.
  • Analyze marketing performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

 

Event Planning and Management:

  • Plan and coordinate a wide range of events, including conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposiums.
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including budgeting, venue selection, vendor coordination, and attendee registration.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure events align with research objectives and target audience needs.
  • Oversee event delivery, including on-site coordination, speaker management, and post-event evaluations.

 

Others:

  • Undertake any other ad-hoc initiatives and assignments assigned by the Vice Dean (Research & Industry) Office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Event Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in event planning, management, marketing, and research communications, preferably in a research or academic environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and effectively prioritize deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate research effectively.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools, including social media platforms, email marketing software, and content management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
