Job Description

Provide administrative leadership in academic administration and management of Postgraduate Coursework (PGC), Postgraduate Research (PGR) programmes and short courses, in collaboration with all College of Design and Engineering (CDE) departments and relevant offices in NUS. The job scope covers the entire, end-to-end spectrum of graduate education:  new programmes development, marketing/outreach, enrolment, operation, examination, and job placement of graduates.  The duties include but not limited to:

•    Identify and facilitate the creation of new graduate programmes (particularly those multi-disciplinary in nature) from conceptualisation to realisation.
•    Lead and coordinate outreach efforts for all CDE graduate programmes hosted by 9 departments and 1 division. These efforts include organising annual college-level graduate studies education fair (online and physical) for PhD, Master by Research and professional master’s degree programmes, and conducting targeted social media campaigns for key programmes.
•    Organise enrolment and onboarding for all new graduate students through orientation sessions and ensure accurate and timely sharing of University guidelines with students.
•    Plan and coordinate Board of Examiners meeting at the College level.
•    Convene Panel of Inquiry for academic dishonesty and other student disciplinary matters.
•    Using data and evidence, initiate process improvement as well as digitalisation efforts to for higher productivity and operational efficiency.
•    Collaborate with other NUS offices for the implementation of university initiatives.
•    Conduct regular reviews on programme and student policies and procedures to ensure its relevance to external and internal stakeholders and are up to date.
•    Manage financial and procurement matters of the office.
•    Support Departments and Partner Universities involved in international exchange and joint programmes with other universities.

Qualifications

•    Good Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a STEM area) from a reputable university, and post-graduate qualification in management.
•    At least 10 years of relevant work experience holding a leadership position in a higher education environment preferred.
•    Familiar with international education market dynamics.
•    Prior experience in stakeholder or relationship management, and other relevant experiences, such as in project management and multi-scale administration, would also be considered an advantage.
•    Able to give attention to details required for good planning and direct operations on all fronts.
•    Meticulous with strong numeracy, analytical and administration skills.
•    Strong communications, project management and organisational skills. 
•    Team leader with good problem-solving and interpersonal skills, and able to rally the team towards achieving common goals.
•    Resilient, resourceful with good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and is adaptable to a fast-paced work environment. 
•    IT savvy and proficient in MS Office applications.
•    Data analytics skills and familiarity with analytics software.
