Job Description
The College of Design and Engineering, Dean’s Office (Engineering Design and Innovation Centre (EDIC)) is seeking an educator-track faculty member to lead and supervise multi-disciplinary projects, and to teach courses at the undergraduate and Master’s levels. EDIC offers exciting project-based learning programmes (the undergraduate Innovation and Design Programme and the Master of Science in Engineering Design and Innovation) that aim to train engineering graduates of the future. EDIC aspires to be a thought leader in design and innovation and seeks to attract top passionate educators who are excited by this opportunity.
Qualifications
• PhD degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
• Substantial teaching experience and evidence of strong impact in higher education settings required.
• Candidates with at least one of the following expertise:
- Strong skills in robotics/electrical/electronic firmware/mechanical/ software design and development.
- Experience in full-stack software development, including native mobile apps, web apps, IoT, and ubiquitous computing.
- Experience with developing AI applications, especially with Edge AI hardware accelerators and NPUs.
- Experience with signal processing, beamforming, and steerable filters.
- Experience with data analytics and data driven design.
- Experience with healthcare innovation.
- Experience in teaching design thinking, product management, or industrial design will be an added advantage.
