Executive/Senior Executive (Dept of Materials Science and Engineering) (MSE)

Job Description

50% time
•    Manage the administration of the MSE self-funded programme including recruitment (eg. conduct promotion talks, briefing sessions and responsible for digital marketing), admission (eg. screening and processing of applications, arranging interviews, following up with applicants on outstanding documents, offer/rejection letter, conduct orientation talks and briefings, handles inquiries, tuition fee rebate calculation) and module registration. 
•    To review and administer credit transfer for all special programmes including 3+1+1 and 3+2 (programmes in partnership with Chinese Universities).

50% time
•    Provide admin support to the Manager in managing the School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) courses, Non-graduating Non-Exchange programme, M.Eng and PhD programme (eg. assist in admission, processing of applications, module registration, QEs, oral defense, thesis submission, etc)
•    Support the dept in exam, time-tabling, and served as the backup for Undergraduate (UG) programme.
•    Provide general support to the General Office and any other ad-hoc duties

Qualifications

•    A Bachelor's degree with more than 2 years of relevant work experience
•    Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels in the university.
•    Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and work on a wide range of tasks and responsibilities.
•    Positive work attitude, self-driven, independent, team-oriented with a strong service mind-set
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
•    Previous experience working in a university or similar setting and familiarity with its operations would be advantageous.
•    Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues as they arise.
•    Candidate who can start work immediately would be advantageous
