Job Description
• Alumni Engagement Events:
- Plan, organize, and host events (average of 10 events per year) designed to bring alumni together, such as reunions, Class Ambassadors (CA) network, Mentorship Programme, and Alumni Gala Dinner.
• Communication:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to keep alumni informed about news, events, and opportunities related to the College of Design and Engineering (CDE). These platforms include the CDE website, email campaigns, LinkedIn, social media posts and alumni newsletters.
- Work closely with all departments within CDE and Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) to ensure alignment of alumni relations efforts with broader university goals.
• Student Ambassadors Management:
- Recruit and manage CDE students to support alumni engagement efforts. This includes serving on reunion committees, mentoring students, and participating in community events.
• Alumni Mentorship Programme:
- Facilitate connections between students and alumni to provide mentorship and life skills advice and assist in student/alumni matching.
• Database/Dashboard Management:
- Maintain accurate records of alumni contact information, employment status, and engagement history in a database.
• Events Feedback:
- Conduct feedback sessions and analysing data to assess the effectiveness of alumni engagement initiatives, identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
• Recognized bachelor’s degree.
• Experience and understanding of different design and engineering industries are ideal; willingness to learn and understand the industry is necessary.
• Experience working in a University or academic setting is preferred.
• Experience in event management is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills as well as a positive attitude are essential.
• Familiarity with regulations, policies, and eligibility requirements for specific student activities and related programs and services is necessary.
• Exercise leadership in the management, development, and long-term planning of NUS-wide activities and programs.
• Ability to interact well with students and alumni.
• Meticulous, organized, able to prioritize and multitask.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
