Job Description

The team is led by Principal Investigator Professor Dean Ho, at the Department of Biomedical Engineering.  The team is seeking a Research Assistant with a major in Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field, and with experience or interest in qualitative research. The team aims to redefine the landscape of personalized treatments through technological innovations, such as CURATE.AI—an artificial intelligence platform developed and validated by Professor Ho and collaborators, which has successfully optimized therapies in fields like oncology and infectious diseases.
The team's involvement in various interventional studies has demonstrated life-saving outcomes and fostered numerous multidisciplinary collaborations with experts in healthcare and industry. The projects undertaken extend beyond technological development and clinical studies into areas such as digital therapeutics. Staying true to its mission, the team continuously seeks to be the first to deploy institute-driven interventional technologies in humans.
The successful candidate will contribute to current and upcoming qualitative-related studies and projects, working alongside other team members and reporting to the PI.

 

The responsibilities of the role are listed, but not limited to, as follows:

•    Assist in undertaking extensive literature reviews including systematic and scoping reviews
•    Prepare and draft ethics applications for upcoming studies
•    Draft and review materials required for behavioural research (e.g. interviews, questionnaires, etc.) for upcoming projects
•    Assist in recruitment for behavioural studies
•    Assist in conducting behavioural research either independently or in collaboration with our team members or collaborators
•    Assist in transcription and analysis of interviews
•    Prepare and draft materials for conferences, manuscripts and grants.
 

Qualifications

•    Possess a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social sciences or related fields. 
•    Experience with NVivo or similar software preferred. 
•    Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
•    Open to fixed term contract.
