Job Description
We are seeking a Research Assistant to work on ecosystem service (ES), geospatial analytics, GIS and map-based tool development.
The Research Assistant will focus on developing assessment methods by integrating ecosystem service assessment, life cycle assessment and geospatial analysis, and develop a map-based tool to support decision-making for climate adaptation and resilient coastal infrastructure.
Job Requirements
The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree and background in the following areas:
1. Development of ecosystem service assessment and environmental assessment methods for hard engineering, hybrid, and nature-based coastal protection solutions.
2. Development of methods to integrate LCA, ecosystem service assessment, and cost-benefit analysis through common spatial temporal frameworks.
3. Development of GIS-based spatial analysis and decision-support tools for infrastructure and coastal protection measures.
Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous: environmental modelling; environmental impact assessment; GIS or spatial data analysis; ability to code and develop map based tools.
Candidates should demonstrate analytical skills, research potential, and the willingness to work across disciplines. The successful candidate will work with other researchers and students at National University of Singapore.
