We are seeking for a short-term Research Assistant to join the National Quantum-Safe Network (NQSN). NQSN is a cutting-edge initiative focused on developing and deploying quantum-safe cryptographic technologies to protect critical infrastructure, communications, and data systems from emerging quantum computing threats. 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for managing ongoing projects within the NQSN while contributing to NQSN’s activities on quantum communication and quantum-safe cryptography. The candidate will coordinate project activities, ensure deliverables are met on time, and collaborate closely with research teams, partners, and stakeholders. The position also requires involvement in testbed activities, data collection, and analysis to support the development of quantum-safe technologies.

 

Responsibilities:
•    Coordinate and manage multiple projects related to quantum-safe communication technologies.
•    Maintain project timelines, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
•    Assist in resource allocation, budgeting, and project reporting to funding bodies.
•    Schedule and lead regular project meetings, preparing agendas, tracking actions, and maintaining detailed records of discussions.
•    Prepare detailed progress reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
•    Assist with the setup, maintenance, and operation of experimental setups related to quantum communication and cryptography.
•    Conduct data collection, analysis, and interpretation for research experiments.
•    Other related functions as assigned as per need

Qualifications

Requirements:
•              Bachelor's degree in Science, or a related field
•              Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
•              Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
•              Technical experience with data collection, experimental setup, or software programming (Python, MATLAB, etc.) is preferred.
•              Excellent communication and writing skills to present research findings and project updates.
•              Open to Fixed Term Contract.
