Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to lead the development of cutting-edge energy efficient underwater navigation systems. The successful candidate will conduct advanced research in localization algorithms, spearhead energy-aware navigation planning systems development, and oversee real world validation of underwater navigation technologies while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

•             Lead research and development of energy efficient navigation systems for underwater vehicles

•             Design and implement advanced underwater navigation algorithms and frameworks

•             Develop comprehensive simulation environments and establish testing protocols

•             Conduct in-depth analysis and optimization of navigation system performance for energy consumption and accuracy

•             Supervise and mentor research engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams

•             Author high-quality research publications and technical reports

•             Manage project timelines and deliverables

Qualifications

•             Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field

•             Experience with robot planning algorithms and control systems

•             Research experience of at least three years, even during Master or PhD program, including skills for paper preparation

•             Excellent teamwork and communication skills

•             Familiarity with underwater robots, sensors (DVL, sonar) and simulation environments will be an added advantage
