Research Associate (Scan-to-BIM)

Job Description

The Advanced Building Informatics & Automation (ABIA) Lab at the Department of the Built Environment, National University of Singapore is seeking outstanding candidates for Research Associate position, to commence as soon as possible. 
  

The  Research Associate  is expected to work on research projects related to scan-to-BIM for structural engineering, which includes:
•    Weakly-supervised/unsupervised learning, image-based 3D reconstruction
•    Semantic/Instance segmentation, primitive detection, geometric modelling
•    AI and graph-based deep learning, generative design

The appointee will assist in planning and implementing related research projects with research assistants in the research group and the Centre for 5G Digital Building Technology, including conducting research, analysing research findings, and preparing reports and papers. 
 

Job Requirements

The candidate should:
• possess a Master or PhD degree in the field of civil engineering, and more than 2 years of research and development experience in BIM and 3D modelling for structural engineering.
• demonstrate knowledge and understanding in the respective field above, with a track record of peer-reviewed publications and strong analytical skills. 
• have proficiency in written and spoken English.
