Job Description
• Drive research and development of the full hardware and software stack for autonomous systems.
• Conduct and publish cutting-edge research in top-tier conferences and journals.
• Oversee platform enhancement initiatives, introducing new features and improving existing capabilities to support autonomous vehicle testing and deployment.
• Mentor and supervise Master's students, undergraduate researchers, and interns in related research activities.
• Collaborate closely with research engineers and students within the Advanced Robotics Centre (ARC) to foster innovation and knowledge exchange.
Qualifications
· Completed (or pursuing) a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Engineering related to autonomous vehicles and robotics
· Evidence of strong publication record in top academic journals or conferences
· Familiar with vehicle structures, electronics, vehicle kinematics and dynamics
· Familiar with autonomous vehicle Drive-by-Wire (DBW) systems
· Familiar with CAD/CAM, fast prototyping
· Familiar with autonomous vehicles modules such as Perception, Localization and Navigation
· Experience with popular robotics middlewares and simulation tools (ROS, Gazebo, IsaacSim, PyBullet)
· Experience in C/C++ and Python
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· A strong team player and leader
· Open to fixed term contract
