Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and highly motivated Research Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, fabrication, testing, and control of micro/nanorobots and will work closely with the Principal Investigator to support multiple research projects exploring the biomedical applications of magnetically controlled microrobots.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop micro/nanorobotic systems for biomedical applications.
  • Conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of microrobots in various environments.
  • Assist in the fabrication and characterization of soft and magnetic materials for robotic systems.
  • Develop and implement control strategies for magnetic actuation.
  • Collaborate with researchers and students to advance ongoing projects.
  • Assist in preparing research reports, papers, and grant proposals.

Qualifications

•    Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, Robotics, or a related field.
•    Master’s degree is highly preferred. 
•    Strong research experience in micro robotics, soft robotics, or magnetic actuation.
•    Hands-on experience in fabrication, control, and testing of small-scale robotic systems.
•    Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and laboratory work.
•    A good publication record is highly preferred.
•    Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
•    Open to fixed-term contract.
