Job Description
The position is a full-time Research Engineer position in the Perceptica Robotics Lab in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the National University of Singapore. The selected candidate will work closely with the PI (Dr. Rajat Talak) on projects related to single and multi-robot mapping and navigation. The work will include:
● Developing a perception and navigation stack for multi-robot systems.
● Develop simulation environments using Blender and Unitree for algorithm testing and validation.
● Develop innovative algorithms and methods to solve challenging problems in multi-robot mapping and navigation.
● Conducting accurate monitoring, documentation, and reporting of progress, research findings, and experimental results.
Qualifications
The position requires
● Basic qualifications
○ At least a Bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution in Singapore or in the home country.
● Expertise
○ Demonstrable expertise in multi-robot perception and navigation.
○ Prior experience with ROS, PyTorch, Issac Lab, MuJoCo, PyBullet, and Blender.
○ Prior publications in multi-robot mapping and navigation.
● Soft skills
○ A strong team player who is open-minded, independent, highly motivated, and can work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team and diverse workforce.
○ Commitment to developing the best technology and science.
● Open to Fixed Term Contract
