Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Engineer to join our team developing cutting edge energy efficient underwater navigation systems. The successful candidate will work on implementing and optimizing localization algorithms, developing energy-aware navigation planning systems, and conducting real world validation of underwater autonomous navigation technologies.

Key Responsibilities

•             Design energy efficient navigation systems for autonomous underwater vehicles

•             Develop and implement underwater navigation algorithms

•             Create simulation environments and conduct testing of navigation algorithms

•             Analyse and optimize navigation system performance for energy consumption and accuracy

•             Collaborate with team members on algorithm development and testing

•             Prepare technical reports and documentation

•             Support field testing and data collection activities

Qualifications

•             Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field

•             Knowledge of fluid dynamics and current modelling

•             Excellent teamwork and communication skills

•             Familiarity with underwater sensors (DVL, sonar) and simulation environments will be an added advantage
