Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Research Engineer to join our team working on novel wireless communication and sensing technologies. The role involves developing and testing compact RF systems integrated within flexible platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. (Primary) Develop and test low-power wireless communication systems (e.g., radio and short-range audio/data transmission).
• Design and optimize antenna–circuit coupling and signal modulation/demodulation mechanisms.
• Build and characterize system prototypes capable of receiving and transmitting signals through flexible platforms
2. (Preferred) Contribute to passive RFID-related projects
• Design and simulate antennas for commercial RFID + temperature sensor tags to ensure reliable data readout.
• Integrate the sensor tags with commercial RFID readers for wireless data acquisition and testing
3. (Additional) Support R&D on wireless power transfer using compact or fiber-like antenna structures.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, RF/Microwave Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with RF circuit design, antenna design, or wireless system integration.
• Hands-on skills in PCB prototyping, impedance matching, and RF measurement.
• Familiarity with RF simulation tools (e.g., CST, HFSS, ADS, or similar).
• Strong experimental mindset and ability to work independently on system-level design
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of passive RFID systems, communication protocols, and reader integration.
• Experience with low-power wireless systems (e.g., BLE, NFC, LoRa).
• Understanding of embedded systems or microcontroller-based data acquisition.
