Job Description
The GEMs Lab at NUS is seeking a few highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to work on the growth and device applications of two-dimensional (2D) materials. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of high-quality synthesis techniques for 2D semiconductors and their integration into next-generation electronic and optoelectronic devices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to conduct independent research while collaborating across disciplines and contributing to high-impact publications in leading international journals. The successful candidate will gain valuable expertise in cutting-edge technologies and work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary research environment.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Strong background in 2D materials growth (CVD) or experience in semiconductor device fabrication, nanofabrication techniques (e.g., lithography, etching, metal deposition), and device characterization.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication and writing skills in English.
- Less than 3 years of work experience after obtaining a PhD degree
