Job Description

To support the execution of the model-informed experimental plan, develop CFD and fluidized bed reactor models to investigate fluidization behaviour and optimize operating conditions, instrument experimental rigs to acquire hydrodynamic and thermal profiles, conduct parametric studies (temperature, gas velocity, recycle ratio, membrane flux and fluidization conditions), and close the loop between CFD predictions and pilot-scale experiments.

Job Requirements

1.    PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
2.    Knowledge of reaction engineering, transport phenomena, and fluid mechanics.
3.    Experience or familiarity with CFD simulation, multiphase flow, or fluidized bed reactor modelling is preferred.
4.    Experience in process simulation software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL, OpenFOAM, or Aspen Plus) is an advantage.
5.    Familiar with gas-solid fluidization, heat and mass transfer, and reactor design is preferred.
6.    Experience with experimental setup, process instrumentation, and data acquisition is an advantage.
7.    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret simulation and experimental results.
8.    Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary research team.
