Research Fellow (Coastal modelling)

Job Description

The Research Fellow (Postdoc) will conduct research in the field of coastal dynamics, in terms of nearshore depth-integrated phase-resolving model development and applications. The model will be applied to simulate wave propagation and transformation from deep water to shallow water. Wave-current interaction will be considered. The model will be coupled with a CFD model.

Job Requirements

•    Possess a PHD degree and related research experience.
•    Candidates with background in coastal and ocean engineering, especially with experience and knowledge in numerical modelling, hydrodynamics, wave theories, and near-shore model development are encouraged to apply.  
•    Good written and spoken communications.
•    Possess strong quantitative skills and able to present results clearly.
•    Prior good publication record is advantageous.
•    Open to fixed-term contract.
