Job Description


The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) of the National University of Singapore is hiring one Research Fellow to assist the Principal Investigator in the Research Area of Concrete Durability.


The selected RF is required to work on
•    Development of durable construction materials from locally available resources,
•    Assessment of the steel corrosion process in the developed concrete,
•    Evaluation of the service life of the structures.

Job Requirements

 

 
•    Possess a PhD degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Engineering with demonstrated experience in designing and conducting experiments, statistical data analysis and possess excellent quantitative, and analytical skills.

•    The ideal candidate is expected to be self-motivated and can work in an interdisciplinary environment

•    It is important that you have an ability to work with minimal supervision, plan and perform experimental and field work, and present results clearly in group meetings.

•    You will be working in an international environment and, therefore, very good oral and written communication skills are required.

•    Prior experience in modelling of chloride transport in concrete, steel corrosion, low-carbon concrete are essential to the posted job.  

•    Open to fixed-term contract
