Research Fellow (Floating Structure)

Job Description

This research project aims to integrate the ocean renewable harvesting with the floating breakwaters for the next generation coastal protection infrastructure. The research staff will be performing experimental studies to understand harvesting of wave, tidal and solar energies in the floating breakwaters, and develop innovative strategies to enhance the energy harvesting efficiency for meta ocean conditions in Singapore waters.

Job Requirements

•    Possess a PhD degree in civil or mechanical engineering or related disciplines.
•    Has fundamental knowledge on ocean energy harvesting.
•    Possess laboratory experience in designing, conducting, and instrumenting the wave and tidal energies.
•    Has basic knowledge and skills in hydrodynamic analyses.
•    Good written and spoken communications.
•    Open to fixed-term contract.
